 Introduction of the Programme:

Radiographer Diploma is concerned with operating radio imaging machines for example X-rays, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, ECG etc. and interpreting results. It also involves treatment of cancers and tumors with radiation. There are a lot of job opportunities for radiographer technicians in Pakistan as well as internationally. Radiographers are required in large numbers in Government and private hospitals, nursing homes, diagnostic centers and super specialty hospitals. Self-employment opportunities are also available in this field.

  1. Minimum Qualification: 45 % Matriculation with Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) 2nd Division (unadjusted) and combined total of science subjects not less than 45%.

Diploma in Medical Lab Technology (Diploma-MLT)

Diploma in Medical Lab Technology is concerned with Lab Tests for example Blood, Gastric Fluid, Kidney Function, Liver Function Test, Lumbar Puncture, Malabsorption Test, Pap Smear, Pregnancy Test, Thyroid Function Test, Sugar etc. and interpreting results. These tests help Physicians to diagnose the medical problems and how to treat them effectively. Nowadays, almost all physician rely on these lab tests for better solutions. There are a lot of job opportunities for Lab Technicians in Pakistan as well as abroad. Lab Technicians are required in large numbers in Government and private hospitals, nursing homes, diagnostic centers and super specialty hospitals. Self-employment opportunities are also available in this field.

Medical laboratory technicians usually work under the supervision of medical laboratory technologists, pathologists or laboratory managers. Both technicians and technologists perform tests and procedures that physicians or other healthcare personnel order. However, technologists perform more complex tests and laboratory procedures than technicians do. For example, technologists may prepare specimens and operate automated analyzers or perform manual tests that are based on detailed instructions.

Introduction of the Programme:

Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology course is an operations management course. This course prepares the candidates to work in the operation theatre as a competent reliable technician among the other members of the health care team. This course will provide candidates with the technical and interpersonal skills required to work under the supervision of nursing, anesthetists and surgical personnel. The candidate must be up to date about technical innovations in the field of Operation Theater. This course includes dealing with various sort of equipment and management techniques in operation theatre and also with the patient community.

OT technicians usually work under the supervision of expert nursing, paramedical staff, anesthetists and surgical personnel. The candidate must be up-to-date about technical innovations in the field. With the passage of time, upon observing day to day procedures of surgery, many technicians learn these procedures and can perform some minor surgeries but under the supervision of some seniors. OT Technicians have an excellent scope in Pakistan and abroad in all Government & Private hospitals, nursing homes and specialized clinics etc.

Introduction of the Programme:

Dispenser is a field of space that specializes in medium and small scale. The fundamental task is to manage patients better, because the discipline of dispenser is closely related to psychology, technology, and culture, so, it is necessary for students to acquire skills such as versatility, quick thinking, keeping in step with change and following the agenda. Students learn a basic knowledge of dispenser, improving manual skill and increasing their creativity.

Scope & Career Prospects of the Dispenser:

Students after completing the dispenser course, besides working as a freelance medical technician in Rescue 1122 services, can work in vast range of areas from the sale of a medicine to its point of production or application, administration, marketing and many areas relating to human life, particularly in the medical department. They can develop and carry out projects in many fields, such as for rescue team and hospital, through which they gain experience as well as the stages used for the production of medicine.
