Seven years back a renowned laureate and educationist Prof. Dr. Syed Amir Gilani established Afro-Asian Institute in the city of Lahore.

Years of excellence in education
Prof. Dr. Syed Amir Gilani, a renowned educationalist and radiologist, with an aim to promote learning and standard education among the talented students of Pakistan, established Afro-Asian Institute in June 2016 in the city of Lahore.
Though a new born baby in educational circles, Afro-Asian institute earned a name of trust and excellence among the pillars of education. Highly qualified and foreign trained faculty from different distinguished universities of Asia, Africa and Europe were the torch bearers to pave guidelines to the Post Graduate students of Medical Ultrasound & Radiology.
Previously, Afro Asian Institute was affiliated with Sudan University of Science and Technology (SUST), Sudan and Al-Zaiem Al-Azhari University, Khartoum, Sudan. The degree programmes offered were B.Sc & M.Sc Ultrasound. Then Afro Asian also started M. Phil & PhD programmes in Ultrasound in collaboration with LUDES University in Lugano, Switzerland.
The research scholars in the fields of Sonography & Radiology from internationally acclaimed universities and institutes like Kings College London, UK, Imperial College London, UK, Nigerian Radiology Board, Nigeria had been working with Afro Asian Institute for research purposes. AAI is proud to have trained 12000 + Radiologists and Sonographers from 22 countries of Asia & Africa.
Our History
2016
In 2016 the institute was initiated at west-wood colony with the purpose of providing affordable quality education at the undergraduate level.
2017
The main campus was extended and enlarged to cope with the ever increasing number of students. It also serves the purpose of providing its students the best available facilities such as air-conditioned class rooms, lush green lawns, and well equipped I.T Labs.
2018
In 2018, Afro-Asian Institute was shifted to a new purpose built campus with better prospectus and facilities.
2019
2019 was a proud moment for Afro-Asian Institute when its first ever batch got their graduation degrees.
2020
Exploring new horizons, Afro-Asian Institute signed MOUs with different organizations to provide its students exciting challenges of practical life.
2021
In 2021 Afro-Asian Institute shifted to Khyaban-e-Kareem, Ferozpur Road, Nishtar Colony, Lahore with even more spacious infrastructure.
2022
In 2022 Afro-Asian Institute made its own Software house for our students of the computer science department named as Smart Technology House (STH) for better internship opportunities, online courses, and freelancing that aim to provide the best facilities in the field of emerging modern technology.
2023
In 2023, the Afro-Asian Institute expanded its reach within the Department of Allied
Health Sciences by establishing new partnerships with prominent organizations like
Chughtai Laboratory, Pak Hospital, and MAP Medical Center (Nishtar Colony) to
enrich the clinical training experiences available to our students.
